In a recent interview with Pat Croce, noted entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Erika Weinstein spoke about what makes her business unique and successful.
According to Erika, “Success is attainable if you use your imagination and determination - getting past personal and business obstacles, finding ways to get around the proverbial wall.”
According to Ms. Weinstein, there are a few ingredients that are essential for success in any economy and one of them is the “art” of not selling. Ms. Weinstein attributes her success to understanding business needs first, well before any selling. This, she says, is the best way to get an interviewer’s buy-in.
“Authenticity is very powerful,” said Ms. Weinstein. “It’s the ability to say, ‘I don’t know,’ which in many situations adds to more meaningful and honest understanding. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses may sound a bit cliché. But the fact is that self-analysis is the beginning of growing yourself and your business. Usually, it’s what you don’t know that precipitates the need to go out and find the talent that is essential to taking your business to the next level.”
